Government Subsidised Chinese Medicine Services

  • Background
    • The Government has announced in the 2018 Policy Address that Chinese Medicine (CM) would be incorporated into the healthcare system in Hong Kong and a development framework would be implemented with increased resources to develop CM services including Government-subsidised out-patient services provided by the 18 Chinese Medicine Clinics cum Training and Research Centres (CMCTRs) at district level.

    • • Eligible Hong Kong Resident
  • Scope of Service
    • • General Consultation (including consultation fee and a maximum of 5 doses of CM products based on clinical needs)
    • • Acupuncture
    • • Bone-setting/Tui-na (at designated clinics)

  • Fees & Charges
    • • $120 per attendance for Eligible Persons
    • • All patients must provide valid original identity documents for eligibility checking of Eligible Hong Kong Residents
    • • Fees will be waived for Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) recipients / Old Age Living Allowance (OALA) recipients (Aged 75 or above) provided that they present the following valid original identity documents and notification documents of relevant social security upon each registration
    • - CSSA recipients must show “Notification of Successful Application” / “Notification of Revision of Assistance”
    • - OALA recipients (Aged 75 or above) must show “Notification of Successful Application” / “Notification of Revision of Allowance”
    • • Health Care Voucher and discount are NOT applicable for Government-subsidised Chinese medicine service

    • 1. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time for registration procedures.
      2. Patients who are late for 30 minutes or more from their scheduled appointment time will need to make a new appointment.
      3. In view of optimising the use of healthcare resources, patients who are unable to attend the scheduled appointment, please notify the clinic concerned as far as possible. The cancelled time slot will be made available to other persons in need.
      - Patients who made the appointment through mobile application, you have to cancel the booking at least one hour before your scheduled appointment time.
      - For others, please call the clinic concerned for cancellation.
